Fitted was out.
Sloppy was in!
Loose was the new tight and rips were the new fit.
During the 90s, the Grunge scene was well and truly thriving and this saw a generation of over-thought, underdressed trends.
Saturated bright colours of the 80s were declining and a messy ensemble of browns, greens and indigo mashed in plaids, flannels and rips were in.
The 90s grunge fashion trends also saw the new rise of long-hair-don’t-care. Short spiky hair styles and tight perms were overrun by long wavy, unkept hair.
These grunge fashion trends were highly inspired by 90s grunge bands such as Nirvana, Pearl Jam and many other punk/metal bands.
